A fun evening of football kicks off at Vasse Soccer Club this month as players take to the field under lights for the first time.
The August 8 event features a girls’ Jillaroos competition and all-abilities games on an inflatable soccer pitch from 5 to 7 p.m.
The club invites players to come along and learn new skills from Football Futures Foundation coaches, who utilise soccer’s universal appeal to create inclusive sporting opportunities.
The Foundation specialises in programs that welcome players of all abilities, helping strengthen communities through a shared love of the game and social impact.
From their successful i-League for young players with disabilities to specialised girls’ programs like Play Our Way, Football Futures Foundation has proven experience in creating welcoming environments for everyone to enjoy soccer.
The evening also provides Vasse Soccer Club with an opportunity to gauge local interest in expanding these inclusive programs in the future.
These programs can open up exciting possibilities for aspiring footballers in the South West.
The Foundation’s WA Equal Football league team will travel to Houston, Texas, this year to compete in the Genuine Cup, joining teams from some of the world’s biggest clubs, marking a first for Australia.
