A pair of Margaret River region youngsters are flying high this week, taking the opportunity to enjoy some special circus training on the east coast.
Margaret River Circus School students Anoushka Lange and Allijah Walls headed to Albury, New South Wales to join the Flying Fruit Fly Circus to soak up a week of training at the National Training Project.
Circus School director Casey Wood said the girls were supported by the Margaret River Lions to complete the journey, and the training had been intensive but fun.
“We are tired but so so happy to be here,” she said.
“We couldn’t have made it without the generous help from the Margaret River Lions with their incredible donation towards our trip helping to cover the flight and training costs.
“We are so grateful for everything they do for this community and we feel so privileged to be able to take some of the cost of this trip off the backs of the families involved.”
