The station's first local show will debut tonight, featuring local musicians and their stories.
'Local Produce' is a two-hour program showcasing the music and performers of the South West.
Presented by long time local musician and music teacher Mike Goodwin and his partner and presenter of the Gig Guide, Angela D'Arcy-Evans, the show broadcasts the finest tunes from the bountiful crop of homegrown talent that calls the region home.
Their first special guest is Cowaramup-based songstress, Kiera Jas who released her latest single 'The Dog Song' earlier this week.
"Local radio is a so important, especially in these times," said the young singer songwriter, who has recently returned home after a successful trip to the State's North West for a series of supporting gigs.
"It keeps the community informed and exposes musicians in the South West region.
"As a muso myself this is something I highly value so please support Radio Margaret River, and join the crew!"
Station Manager Pip Mattiske echoed the sentiments, urging locals to get behind the station.
"Radio Margaret River is a not-for-profit association run by volunteers with a couple of casual staff," she explained.
"If it is to succeed, we need the community's support.

Ms Mattiske said volunteers at the station were thrilled with the news that The River Hotel had come on board to sponsor the Local Produce show.
She said there would be future opportunities for locals to develop their own radio shows or segments.
"Our programming will evolve with the community's involvement, feedback and support," she said.
"Our presenter applications will go on the website soon, if you have an idea for a show and please get in touch if you can volunteer to help us.
"RMR's goal is to connect, inform and entertain the Margaret River community, support the local music industry and be 'The Voice of Margaret River'."
A mobile app is currently in development and will be available in a couple of weeks, making it even easier for listeners to access the station.
